Hello!

I am Dana Nuñez. I am an actor, singer, youtuber, photography enthusiast, and healthcare leader.

About.

I am an equal-brained creative, pursuing public service through artistic self-expression and healthcare. I strive to have my interests in the arts and sciences positively impact people.

  • I am an actor intensively trained through the prestigious four-year magnet school Governor’s School for the Arts, having studied both Musical Theater and Theater and working in theater productions, film, and commercials.

Click on the “Acting” tab at the top of this page to view my actor resume, headshots, demo reel, and links to my IMDb, Actor’s Access, Casting Networks, and Dragonuk Connects actor profiles.

  • One might say my “singing training” started at age four when my mom thrust a microphone in my hand and had me perform in public and in family parties as I grew up.

I started formal vocal lessons at the age of 9 and intensively trained in classical/operatic voice and belt/pop voice through the prestigious four-year magnet school Governor’s School for the Arts as a young adult.

  • I started playing classical piano at the age of 9 and competed in piano competitions at a college-level when I was still in middle school. My favorite composers are Chopin and Debussey. I also play violin at an intermediate-skill level, and just now am learning guitar!

  • I love playing with visual aesthetics, both in photography and videography. My dad is a photography enthusiast as well and taught my twin brother and me the basics of photography growing up. I use my Instagram account and my YouTube channel as a means to play with my camera skills, both with images and with videography.

  • In addition to my creative interests, I am an academic-minded person and love to learn. I developed an affinity for sciences, receiving a Bachelor’s in Biology at the public ivy league University of Virginia and a Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. I’ve spent over a decade working on healthcare policy in both the Federal government, working under the Obama Administration, and in executive senior roles in the private sector. Click on the LinkedIn link at the bottom of this page to view more details about my healthcare career.

  • I am a proud dog mom to Sophie, the sweetest 14-year-old shih tzu and who has been my loyal companion throughout my entire adulthood. I was blessed with her junior year of college when our family dog Gyro sired puppies, and she’s been by my side ever since!

I am also a plant mom, and at the peak of my plant ownership, I had about 45 plants in my apartment! I collect rare and common plants, and during the 2020 quarantine, I built a glass greenhouse from scratch that has smartphone- and Alexa-controlled grow lights, hygrometers, and air circulation fans.

I am a huge foodie! I build custom Google maps of best restaurants in the cities I live and visit, including Michelin star and James Beard recipients, up-and-coming hot restaurants, and amazing holes-in-the-walls. I do informal reviews on my Instagram stories, but would love to start creating formal reviews of these restaurants in this website as a new tab above. Keep checking my website to see if I finally got around to starting this! xD

I made the cut!

On March 6th, 2022, more than 200 people auditioned in the hopes to get picked to compete in DC’s Monologue Madness competition, and I ranked #8 out of the top 32 actors chosen! This competition is only held in the major acting markets: LA, NY, DC, Chicago, and Atlanta.
